DIMITAR MASEVSKI ONE OF THE DOYENS OF MACEDONIAN POP MUSIC PASSED AWAY

During his musical activity, Masevski has produced around 2,000 pieces.


Late last night at 78 years of age died known composer and music producer Dimitar Masevski, which was attached to one of the founders of the Macedonian pop music.

During his musical activity, Masevski has produced around 2,000 pieces.

Moreover, he is the author of composition "Posledna solza", sang by Blaga Videc and which is the first fun tune sung in Macedonian.

Masevski is author of the first children's song in Macedonian language "Ringispil" and composed music for TV series and theater plays. In the 21st century, Masevski began to compose newly created folk music.

He was one of the organizers of the renewed "Skopje festival" that in the sign of his work, in 2014 awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.

His son Aleksandar Masevski also is one of our most distinguished composers and producers of pop music. Hear one of his works:
