Macedonian Documentary Film “(Extra) Terrestrial Lee" Awarded in India

The short documentary film "(Extra) Terrestrial Lee" by Sasko Mickovski won the award for best editing of a documentary film at Delhi Shorts International Film Festival in India.

The film is the graduation work Sasko Mickovski who is director and film editor, director of photography is Naum Doksevski and executive producer is Ilija Ciriviri.


The film is produced by the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje. Quasar Film Production helped the film to be realized.

"(Extra) Terrestrial Lee" is a short documentary about Miki Lee Trajchevski who is a resident of Stip, known popularly as the most educated homeless. He lives a quiet pastoral life, walking through the natural beauty under the Isar. Citizens of Stip know Lee as alien because of his ability to connect with the third kind. The film documents the habits of this unusual man released from the insignificance of the material things.


The film was premiered in December 2013 in the cinema Frosina. This is the first award of the film that has been shown at several international festivals so far. In December there will be a screening at Imphal Shorts International Festival, again in India.

Sasko Potter Mickovski is a graduated editor of the Department of Film and TV editing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in the class of prof. Dimitar Grbevski and Lazarus Sekulovsk. In January he begins his studies of National Film and Television School in England at the Department for sound design for film and TV. Currently working on a new documentary titled "All will die."
