Macedonian Premiere of Film about the Saints Cyril and Methodius

This year, the holiday of Saint Clement of Ohrid, patron of the town of Ohrid will also be celebrated within the program of the festival "Ohrid Summer", with the Macedonian premiere of the film "Apostles of the Slavs - two brothers, one life mission."

The historical film about the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius is work of the Czech director Petr Nikolaev and produced by Victor Krishtof, which will be a special guest for the tonight's premiere. The new film about the sacred brother is recorded on the occasion of the 1150 anniversary of the beginning of the mission of Cyril and Methodius in Moravia and screens their work in spreading the Slavic literacy.

Macedonian premiere of the film about the Saints Cyril and Methodius, as part of the  program of the festival "Ohrid Summer" has been enabled by our expatriates Jovan Budzhakoski and Alexander Gliguroski, citizens of  Ohrid who have a successful business in Prague for 15 years.

According to them, Ohrid is the only place that deserves screening of this film, and the celebration of the patron of the city has been selected as the most appropriate term for the film to be seen not only by the citizens of Ohrid but also the guests who come to Ohrid in the summer.

- When I saw the movie on TV I had not doubt we should bring it to Macedonia. The audience here and the entire Macedonian nation should see and feel it, says Jovan Budzhakoski.

According to the director of the Ohrid Summer Elizabetha Jankulovska the cooperation between the national institution "Ohrid Summer" and the Ohrid Municipality contributes greatly to raising the level of cultural development of the city by maintaining the high reputation of the festival "Ohrid Summer" which is present at the world art scene - a commitment to even greater achievements in culture and realization of quality events.

"Ohrid Summer festival as a leading event at the cultural and art scene, where the names of worldwide famous artists are engraved is the brand of the city of Ohrid, the city that represents cultural, spiritual and tourist center of Macedonia", she pointed out.

The projection of the film will be held in the cinema hall of the Cultural Center "Prlicev" starting at 21 pm.
