Macedonian Theaters to Perform abroad

Macedonia will present its rich dramatic art culture through performances by several professional theaters, planned for the second half of the year, Dnevnik daily reads. 

The Macedonian National Theater, the Drama Theater, the National Theater of Bitola and the Comedy Theater are about to perform on several international and European stages.

The Drama Theater - Skopje will stage the play "The Last Macedonians", directed by Saso Milenkovski, within the Days of Macedonian Culture at the "Accent" Theater in Austria.


The Macedonian National Theater will perform at the Zagreb National Theater, featuring three plays, whereas the National Theater - Bitola will stage "Henry VI (part three)" in Beijing.

Macedonia's Ministry of Culture has announced that it will further continue to support art by sending Macedonia's finest artist in the Diaspora as well.

The Comedy Theater will present itself with the play "Stewardesses", directed by Sinisa Evtimov, at Meadowvale Theater in Mississauga. The Prilep Theater"Marko Cepenkov" will present itself in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, New Castle, Wologong and Adelaide, performing "On two seats" and "Patched Life", whereas "The Wizard of Oz" will be performed within the children program.
