Macedonian movie “To the Hilt” premiere in September

Stole Popov’s movie “To The Hilt” is finished and its premiere is expected to take place in September. His latest work together with “Children of the Sun”, directed by Antionio Mitrikeski, will be screened before film distributors at the upcoming Cannes festival.

Post-production of Stole Popov’s new flick was completed by the Macedionian company for visual effects and film animation FX3X, where the trailer was shown at Thursday’s event attended by Culture Minister Elizabeta Kanceska-Milevska and the director of the Film Agency, Darko Baseski.

“I’m convinced the movie will prove to be very successful at many film festivals. My first impression is that it is an international movie in which we can see Popov’s dedication. Gratitude to the whole crew, especially to the director for everything that he has done for Macedonia’s cinema and for this movie,” Kanceska-Milevska said adding the government in recent years had been supporting the development of Macedonia’s film industry.

Stole Popov said he was pleased with his latest work. “The premiere is scheduled to take place in September and the producers will attempt to promote ‘To The Hilt’ at the world’s leading film festivals,” the Oscar-nominated filmmaker stated.
