Macedonian Writers Present Literary Works in Sofia

A workshop on the tendencies in 21st century Macedonian and Bulgarian literature and an evening presentation of the up-and-coming Macedonian literary generation, held yesterday evening at the Macedonian Cultural and Information Center in Sofia, attracted high turnout.

Attendees included representatives of the Macedonian Writers' Association and the Bulgarian PEN Center, among whom academicians Katica Kulavkova, Vlada Urosevic, professor Natasa Aramovska, authors Nikola Madzirov, Vladimir Martinovski, Rumena Buzarovska, Kalina Maleska, Frosina Stojkoska, Gjoko Zdraveski and Nenad Joldeski.


Writers and poets' works were presented to the members of the Bulgarian Writers' Association and PEN center, diplomats and media representatives in Macedonian and Bulgarian language.

Kulavkova moderated the workshop, whereas the evening event was opened by the PEN Center Director, Vasko Sutarov.

The Macedonian literary delegation is to pay a visit to the Sofia University Library and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences today. They are also to meet renowned Bulgarian writers.
