Simple Minds in Skopje


Simple Minds, the legendary Scottish rock band, will perform in Skopje. Tomorrow, Simple Minds will play at the Sports Center Kale, as part of their world tour, titled "Greatest Hits", reports the Macedonian Information Agency.

It is expected the bend to arrive in Macedonia today, a day before the concert, traveling from Zagreb where they played last night. According to Avalon Production, event organizer, a press conference is not planned, nor interviews.

Members of the band that will play in Skopje are: Jim Kerr (vocal), Charlie Burchill (guitar and keyboards), Mel Gaynor (drums), Andy Gillespie (keyboards), Ged Grimes (bass guitar) and Sarah Brown (back up vocal). The band has its own sound and light production, which according to the organizer, promises an unforgettable concert.

A two-hour show in front of the Macedonian fans is expected, performing their greatest hits, such as Don't You (Forget about Me), Promised You A Miracle, Waterfront, Alive and Kicking, Glittering Prize, All The Things She Said, Sanctify Yourself, Someone Somewhere (In Summertime), Ghost Dancing, Kick It In, She's A River, Mandela Day, Belfast Child and many others.

In their 30-year career, Simple Minds have released 16 studio albums, reaching multi-platinum sale level.

As opening act macedonian cult band Mizar will appear.
