Theaters from Russa, China, US, Germany at first-ever Bitola Shakespeare Festival

"Bitola Shakespeare Festival" is going to be opened Friday evening with Macedonia's rendition of "Romeo and Juliet", directed by Dejan Projkovski, which has been staged in cooperation with the Vera Komissarzhevskaya Theater from Russia.

The Beijing National Theater with the play "Richard III", a theater troupe from Leipzig with "King Lear" and a company from Amsterdam with Othello will perform at the first edition of Bitola Shakespeare Festival, set to take place in July.

The festival will also host theatre companies from Slovenia and Serbia and their performances of "Macbeth" and "Henry VI - Part One" respectively.

"Henry VI - Part Two" will be performed by the Tirana National Theater and "The Tempest" by a theater troupe from the United States.

First edition of "Bitola Shakespeare Festival," which is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, will be held July 19-25 in the frames of Bitola Summer Festival "BitFest."
