Shooting of film "Children of the Sun" begins

Shooting of film "Children of the Sun" directed by Antonio Mitrikeski, will begin near Prespa Lake on Monday. 

The film is to be shot in the next couple of months in the Prepa region, Bitola and Skopje. Renowned Balkan author Gordan Mihic is the script author of the film, co-produced with Serbia and Montenegro.

"Children of the Sun" is a love story between Angela and Marko, played byyoung actors Kire Gjorevski and Ivana Pavlakovic.

"The film will show a Macedonian family, through which I want to give a diagnosis of the society by demonstrating their suffering, illusions, attempting to show the mentality of the Macedonian people without avoiding the truth", said Mitrikeski at a recent press conference.

This is Mitrikeski's third feature following "Across the Lake" (1997) and "As a Bad Dream" (2003).
