Swedish audience thrilled by Tanec performance
Audience in the Stockholm-based "Konserthuset", home of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, was thrilled late Monday by the performance of ensemble Tanec, held on the 20. anniversary from establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties.
About 700 guests were swept away by the Macedonian folklore, choreographies, vocal and instrumental performances of the country's national ensemble.
"A wonderful show, I was impressed by the dancers, the beautiful costumes and the exceptional singing", said Stockholm Mayor Margareta Bjork.
"I was glad the hall was packed, with people enjoying the colors of Macedonian traditional folk costumes and jewelry", said Culture Minister Elizabeta Kanceska-Milevska, who opened event "Macedonia in Sweden".
"This is the best way to celebrate the 20. anniversary of cooperation with the Kingdom of Sweden", said Macedonia's Ambassador Kire Ilioski.
Event "Macedonia in Sweden" will also include an exhibit of old Slavic manuscripts from Macedonia. ik/9:07
