A film with a working title "Lazar" directed by Svetozar Ristevski will be supported by Eurimages and it is one of the 17 feature films receiving finances from the Council of Europe's film fund.

The decision was reached by the fund's board of management at a meeting held in Dubai on Dec. 11-13, the Cinematheque of Macedonia says Wednesday.

Eurimages will provide 170.000 euros for Ristevski's film, which is 15.5% of the total budget. "Lazar" has already secured financial support from the Film Fund of Macedonia, Croatia's audio visual center and Bulgaria's National Film Center.

"Lazar" is a Macedonian-Croatian-French co-production.

Eurimages will also support two other projects in which Macedonian production companies are involved - Serbia's "The Monument of Michael Jackson" and Bulgaria's "Verdict".

Moreover, the Bitola Center of Culture - a member of the Eurimages network of 40 movie theaters - will receive funds for procurement of digital equipment next year.
