Leopold Forstner Exhibition in Bitola

Artworks of the Austrian jugendstil-artist Leopold Forstner will be exhibited in Bitola within "Bit Fest" Summer Festival.

Forstner, an Austro-Hungarian officer who served during the World War 1, stayed in the Balkans for almost two years.

He traveled the territories of Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia, documenting the culture within occupied areas. He had created over 100 large-format pencil drawings and about 50 photos.

Forstner worked as a graphic artist, designer and illustrator. He is known for his mosaics and works with glass.
