Macedonia in the focus of the Children Film Festival in Seattle

Children Film Festival in Seattle this year placed Macedonia in focus by displaying five short films intended for young audiences supported by the Macedonian Film Fund, and documentary film derived from the School of Creative Documentary Active.



Moreover, according to the Macedonian Film Fund, the festival will screen films by Brothers Manaki that were digitally restored with project of Cinematheque of Macedonia. Brothers Manaki films will be accompanied by the Macedonian music performed by Dragi Spasovski and David Bilides.

Spasovski and Bilides work together since 1996 through Izvor Music (izvormusic.com) and promote Macedonian and Balkan music. They have published 56 podcasts entitled Macedonian postcards published on 3 CDs.

The program focus on Macedonia will be showing the film “Bardot” of Marija Apchevska, “Flame” of Tomislav Aleksov, “Cheek” of Stephen Sidovski, “Little Match Girl ” of Filip Matevski, “Game Over” of Zoran Mishevski and “Spring in Summer” of Edin Alia, Mila Radonjikj and Vanja Ristikj (School of creative documentary Active).

Macedonian Film Fund established cooperation with Elizabeth Shepherd, director of the Children’s Festival of Seattle last year during the first Macedonian festival for children and young Giffoni Macedonia, is said in the statement.
