Trpceski performs Macedonian authors music at British premiere

Pianist Simon Trpceski continues the presentation of Macedonian music works and its authors before the audience of world's prestigious stages. Trpceski and the musicians of City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra performed works by Macedonian composer Blagoj Canev.

I am very pleased that after the presentation of our composer Blagoj Canev in Norway and Aspen (USA) last year, now for the first time in England, Birmingham his two works were performed. The first "Folklore canons" in ensemble for viola, clarinet and piano and the second work "Sonata in ES" for clarinet and piano, Trpceski said.
Canev expresses more his personal inspirations and thoughts. His musical language is quite colourful and although he sometimes resembles Grieg, Prokofiev, Ligeti, Debussy and Hindemith, still he is distinctive.

Our sensational pianist Trpceski with City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra after two evenings of performances and of the Chopin Piano Concerto No 1, will continue with two more concerts. Andris Nelsons (Latvia) will be conductor at this mini tour, who is one of the most sought-after young conductors on the international scene today, earning himself a distinguished name both on the opera and concert podiums. This is their second performance after 2008 when Trpceski was Nelsons's first soloist of conductor baton as chief conductor of City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra
