SKOPJE HOSTS FIRST CHILDREN'S FILM AND EDUCATIONAL FESTIVAL

"Our Neighbourhood" production company is organising Friday through Sunday the first children's film and educational festival dubbed "Our Little Festival" to mark its 15th anniversary. The event is intended for pupils aged 9-12 and it is expected the first edition to be visited by nearly thousand children from several municipalities in Macedonia.

At the festival, children's movies from the Netherlands, Germany and Slovakia will be screened. In addition to projections, the festival offers many educational workshops for animation, safe Internet, recycling, dance and for learning more about the European Union.

"Our Little Festival" is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, first lady Maja Ivanova and the EU delegation in Skopje.

Opening the festival, Culture Minister Elizabeta Kanceska-Milevska said "Our Little Festival" would stimulate the creativity, fantasy and inventiveness of children.

"May this festival serve as a possibility to create healthy, conscious and smart generations," she added.
